Our dog during a thunderstorm

Our gorgeous 12year old cross labrador/ dalmation, has a terrible fear of thunder and lightening (not to mention fireworks - horror of horrors!) On Tuesday afternoon we went from very hot and sunny to dark and VERY nosiy within minutes. As I was in the throes of re-organising our patio, I had to quickly pile scatters and other things out of the way to avoid being rained on.

Next minute I look out the window and here is darling Apollo, perched on one of the wicker armchairs amidst the scatters, looking ever so regal and very confident!! And by then, the worst had passed and the sun was peeking through ...... poor soul!!!

Happy Diwali!! Well let me start by saying we had a "zoo" : 4 dogs, 3 cats, birds, fish, hamster etc. etc. but are now down to 3 dogs and 2 cats, which we adore - working very hard at maintaining the staus quo, LOL!!! You?
