A Swedish Christmas Scheme

I enjoyed these pictures of this Swedish styled Christmas so much, and since there was no more room, so to speak, in the 14 days countdown to Christmas posts, I decided to post it after.  Hope you enjoy!

don't you just love the simplicity of this scheme??

I do love the simplicity. I think probably one of these years (soon) I will be moving in that direction when it comes to decorating for the holidays. Once the kids are no longer at home I can see myself wanting to simplify a LOT of things.
The immediate benefits would be less stress, more money in your pocket, and perhaps most important...more time to spend with the people you love. :-)

Gena,
I simply loved it....especially the colour similar to straw/ bamboo ...its make a great difference...makes it more simple but rustic and powerful...great snaps and great taste that you have....

Hi Gayle,
Somehow the simplicity of this scheme is just so serene..... I agree with you, I too am "dying" to simplify (in fact in just about every aspect of my life). In terms of xmas I have made a conscientious effort to reduce the decorating duties, shopping duties and the vast amount of food over a number of years, so this year was definitelyy "calmer" in many ways..... But yes,I too want more time for people and sharing good times!!!

Thanks Roy .... so glad you like the post .... I just felt that after al lthe glitz of baubles and tinsel, this post just had to be "aired" to prove that xmas can be simple and still very graceful!

Beautiful images of a simpler Christmas! Especially like the second one - reminds me of Dickens' "A Christmas Carol."
